Why choose Vodafone broadband?
Vodafone keeps its broadband deals relatively simple, but that doesn’t mean they’re not without their share of interesting features.
- Ultimate broadband guarantee – Vodafone will give you money off your bill if your speed dips below a certain level. It guarantees 25Mbps for Superfast 1 and 55Mbps for Superfast 2. Bear in mind that this doesn’t guarantee the speed you’ll get over Wi-Fi though, just the speed from the exchange to your router.
- Free router – The Vodafone WiFi Hub is provided free, and it’s a very good router.
- Vodafone broadband app – The Vodafone broadband app lets you manage functions on your Vodafone router from your phone. You can send a Wi-Fi ‘boost’ to a particular device, switch your Wi-Fi off and on, manage your guest Wi-Fi, control your broadband settings, and more.
- Discount for pay monthly mobile customers – If you’re already a Vodafone pay monthly mobile customer, you’ll pay £2 a month less for Vodafone fibre broadband.
- Unlimited usage – As with most broadband providers, there are no download limits on Vodafone’s packages.
- Free internet security – You’ll get a six-month subscription to F-Secure SAFE antivirus.
- Parental controls – By default the parental controls are set to off, but you can switch them on to control access to the internet.

Vodafone offer six broadband packages to choose from, each with a different average download speed.

What does Vodafone broadband offer?
- Fibre broadband – Vodafone offers two fibre broadband packages: Superfast 1 and Superfast 2, with average download speeds of 35Mbps and 63Mbps, respectively. To work out what broadband speed you need, take a look at this guide.
- Home phone – All Vodafone broadband deals come with a home phone: there is no option for broadband only or landline only. The optional Anytime Landline and Mobile Calls package provides unlimited calls to standard UK landlines and mobiles, while the Evening and Weekend Calls package gives unlimited calls to standard UK landlines from 7pm to 7am weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday (from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday). There are also several optional add-ons such as voicemail plus, call management features and caller display. Line rental is included in the packages.
- Mobile – Vodafone is best known for its mobile service so it’s no surprise that there’s a wide range of pay monthly, pay as you go and SIM-only plans available. Vodafone stocks the latest handsets from Apple, Samsung, Huawei and the rest, as well as its own brand of budget phones.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, Vodafone uses the Openreach broadband network – the biggest in the UK – to deliver its services.
Most of the time, Vodafone will do this for you as it uses the same network (operated by Openreach) as the majority of its rivals. Virgin Media uses its own network, though, so if you're switching from Virgin you'll need to let them know you're leaving.
